Network Director: Carole Reed
Carole grew up in central Pennsylvania and moved to Indiana in 1980 to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, she worked at the Community Guidance Center for 23 years and is a certified forensic interviewer for children who have experienced physical or sexual abuse. Carole's experience also includes working with older adults at St. Andrew’s Village and Aging Services, Inc., prior to joining Family Promise. She has a daughter named Julie and a dog named Luna. With extensive experience in social services, Carole was drawn to Family Promise because of its emphasis on sustainable independence and finding permanent solutions rather than temporary fixes; her guiding mantra is “short term discomfort for long term gain.” Despite the challenges of her work, she has been blessed by the children and families she has served over the past seven years and looks forward to continuing her efforts in providing programs and services that promote long-term, sustainable living.
Shelter Aid: Kendra SilvisGrowing up in Rural Valley and graduating from Lenape Vo-Tech, Kendra also holds a CNA license and previously worked as a crew leader at MPW. Currently residing in Marion Center with her boyfriend and their German Shepherd, Luna, she enjoys crafting, gardening, and reading in her free time. She finds great fulfillment working at Family Promise, appreciating the organization’s dedication to helping the community.

President: Aaron Lehman
Aaron currently lives in Homer City. He has been in Indiana County for 32 years. He has 2 children and a dog named Holly. He joined the Family Promise Board in 2017 because he enjoys helping families in need. As a financial Advisor, he is able to assist with providing the families with financial literacy.

Vice President and Acting Secretary: Laura McGaughey
Laura is an Early Intervention Specialist with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from IUP, a Master's Degree in Special Education from UVA, and a Master's Degree in Special Education Supervision from SRU. Born and raised in Indiana County, she moved away for 25 years to pursue a career in education. Laura has four daughters and two dogs, an Australian Shepherd and a Miniature Pinscher. She became interested in working with people experiencing homelessness because she believes everyone deserves safe and stable housing. Passionate about making a difference, she provides resources, support, and advocacy to help individuals transition out of homelessness and rebuild their lives. Her work with homeless populations allows her to contribute to creating a more compassionate and inclusive society, and her involvement on the board helps her stay connected to community concerns.

Jillian Jones
Jillian grew up right here in Indiana County. Currently, she serves as a case manager at the Community Guidance Center, where she connects individuals struggling with their mental health to the resources they need to thrive. In addition to her work in mental health, Jillian is also a pastor on Sundays. She holds a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Saint Vincent College and a Master of Divinity Degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Jillian is married to Justin, and they have an eight-year-old son named Josiah. Previously, she worked at Family Promise as a shelter aide; even after transitioning to her current role, Jillian remained passionate about and believed in the mission of Family Promise, wanting to contribute to the community in any way she can.

Prudence Kunkle
Prudence grew up and completed high school here in Indiana, PA. Prudence played an integral role in managing her family’s car dealership. She remained in the automotive sales industry when she relocated to Arizona. Prudence has two adult children and 8 grandchildren. Prudence is currently is retired but also works as a receptionist. She has two dogs: Chauncey and Bertha.
Prudence believes that joining the board has been a great opportunity to use her provide insight and to help make a difference in someone’s life. She is happy to be a part of an organization that gives support, guidance and sets the foundation for success. |
